This DVD is a snapshot of a popular ‘Donegal House Dancing’ tradition that exists and shows you some of the most popular aspects of this rich tradition. Traditional couple and house dances from various parts of Donegal including, Highlands, Mazurkas, The Marine and the Palais Glide.
There is description of the context and backgound of the dances in Irish and English the Irish speech sections are sub-titled in English. Each dance is shown slowly and at proper speed and the music is provided by some of the best Donegal traditional musicians including the Campbells, Danny Meehan, Ciaran ó Maonaigh and Aidan O Donnell.
