CD
CD countains music, songs and dances for children and adults from many countries in the South Pacific, mainly from Polynesia. The songs and dances were collected by Ad and Lucia Linkels during fieldwork trips to the area. Portuguese island of Madeira, as a symbolic bridge between Europe and the Pacific. In the past many people from Madeira migrated to Hawai`i and thus introduced a small Portuguese four stringed instrument that developed into the Hawaiian `ukulele. 18 TRACKS are played by Ka Wela `Ana. The CD accompanies the dancebooks Talofa! 1 & 2. (Dutch).
